More than 100 delegates from organisations across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly attended Unlocking Potential’s (UP) twentieth birthday celebrations at the Falmouth Golf Club last week.
Delegates enjoyed a continental breakfast before representatives from businesses including Cockwells, LinedUp, UltraMed, ISO Spaces, Idenna, The Wool Company, Oh So Social, Buzz Interactive, ICE and Research Instruments shared personal accounts of their 20-year growth journey working alongside UP.
Addressing the room, Oh So Social owner, Katherine George, said: “My business journey was quite accidental; I attended an Unlocking Potential workshop which inspired me to start my social media agency. I owe my entire business to Unlocking Potential. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t have a business right now.”
As they look ahead to their 21st year, UP’s director, Allyson Glover, said: “It has been wonderful bringing together some of the clients and partners we’ve had the pleasure to work with over the last 20 years.
“We’ve heard so many positive stories from those attending on how they’ve successfully grown as a business, and on a personal level – whether graduate, start up or multi-million-pound business.
“To date we’ve supported over 5,300 Cornish businesses, and that’s something myself and the Unlocking Potential team feel hugely proud of.”
