The People Hub employment and training project is hosting a free launch event for its Skills for Growth programme.
The Skills for Growth programme aims to help people in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly in improving their career prospects through People Hub’s tailored support and funded qualifications and training.
The launch event, to be held tomorrow (Mar 10) at the St Austell Conference Centre, will be an opportunity to meet the People Hub team and feature a number of guest speakers, including the head of Spaceport Cornwall, Melissa Thorpe, who will be talking about how skills and qualifications launch careers.
People Hub manager, Josh Hoole, said: “We’re really excited about launching our Skills for Growth programme and offering the people of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly the opportunity to make a change in their lives.
“The Skills for Growth programme is open to people from all backgrounds, whether they’re looking to change careers, are facing the possibility of redundancy, or simply want a bit of help up their chosen job ladder. We really look forward to meeting everyone who attends and hope that they’ll leave the event feeling inspired and hopeful for the future.”
