Last week’s Cornwall Business Show has been proclaimed a great success, despite the difficult circumstances.

Unsurprisingly, the coronavirus outbreak meant numbers were down on previous years, but feedback has been positive from exhibitors and visitors alike.

Marketing manager for Cornwall Business Show, Claire Corbett, said: “We are very pleased with how the event unfolded. Attendance was down on previous years but that’s to be expected under the circumstances. Those that did attend came for a real reason and as a result a higher ratio of meaningful conversations took place.”

MD, Andrew Weaver, added “We have heard some great feedback already and the decision to continue to run the event has been vindicated. I would like to thank all stakeholders in the event, especially our sponsors, exhibitors and visitors who remained calm and collective, and made the event a success.”

These sentiments were echoed by Dexter Lawrence, MD of DL Accountants, who said: “We really enjoyed exhibiting at the Cornwall Businesses Show again this year. It was great to meet so many existing and new clients and discuss how we can help their business expand and thrive. Looking forward to next year’s show already.”

The event was sponsored by Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Growth and Skills Hub and supported by Business Cornwall magazine and JHAV.

Next year’s event will take place on Thursday March 11.
