Fowey Chamber of Commerce has announced the second year of Fowey Food Week.

The week-long event (March 7-14), designed by Fowey’s chefs, offers diners the chance to ‘eat your way around the world without leaving Fowey’ with cafes, restaurants and pubs offering at least one special dish from their chosen country for £5 or £10 per head.

The first Fowey Food Week last year saw an average increase in takings of over 40% across the week, including pubs in Polruan and Bodinnick.

Diners receive a printed ‘passport’ with map and collect stamps at each visit. All passports with more than three stamps enter a raffle.

Visitors can also take advantage of free parking day and night at Readymoney and free parking after 6pm at the Main, Caffa Mill and Albert Quay car parks.

Fowey Chamber of Commerce co-chair, Sinead Hanks, said: “This year we have four exciting new restaurants – Appletons, Fitzroy, North Street Kitchen and Bufula – to add to Fowey’s popular established restaurants, cafes and pubs. And we’ve already got some exotic and unusual choices including Malaysia, Jamaica and Korea.”
