One of Cornwall’s oldest country estates is being opened up to the public to hire for wedding celebrations.

On Sunday February 24, The Fir Hill Estate, which has been fully refurbished, will be welcoming engaged couples from across the UK to experience its unique hideaway and fall in love with the idea of getting married in the beautiful woodlands.

Owner Charlie Hoblyn said: “In many ways I have simply responded to demand for weddings at the Fir Hill….last was our first full year in the glamping business, and guests impressed upon me how lovely it would to have weddings at the Fir Hill.

“Needless to say this feedback was critical to accelerating our plans for developing this new venture.”

Located a short drive from the Cornish coastal town of Newquay, The Fir Hill is nestled into the countryside with Porth Reservoir and Colan Woods as its backdrop.

The venue offers a blank canvas for weddings, allowing couples to create exactly what they want, with a choice of locations for outside ceremonies as well as The Barn for indoor celebrations.

The Wedding Open Day, from 10.30am-3.00pm on Sunday 24th February, is free, but pre-book your exclusive guest tickets to ensure a complimentary glass of fizz on arrival.
