A Penryn-based businesswoman will be heading off to warmer climes at the end of the month to present at a major international conference.
Caroline Robinson, founder of Clear Mapping Co, has been selected to present a paper on ‘Innovation in Arabic cartography for the National State of Qatar’ at the Sixth International Conference on Remote Sensing and Geoinformation of Environment, in Cyprus.
The four-day conference provides an opportunity for experts to share the latest developments in remote sensing and related geospatial technologies. Peers at the conference bring expertise from a wide variety of fields including meteorology, cultural heritage, urban design, marine sciences and electrical engineering.
Robinson said: “I am delighted to have been selected to present at the conference. This will provide a great opportunity to showcase the innovative work we’ve been involved in and the development of Arabic cartography.”
Her attendance at the event has been made possible through the support of the Department for International Trade and the provision of Export for Growth funding.
