PKF Francis Clark’s Finance in Cornwall event takes place next month at Truro School’s Burrell Theatre.
The event on April 18 is being held during Cornwall Business Week, with one of other main events, Cornwall Chamber’s Business Fair, being held on the Truro School campus on the same day.
Finance in Cornwall will feature presentations from sources of grant, debt and equity funding, as well as business support agencies operating in the region.
There will be a total of 18 short and sharp presentations, each giving delegates a basis for an assessment of which funding stream/funder matches their requirements. After the presentations there will be the opportunity for delegates to meet the presenters and ask one-to-one questions.
PKF Francis Clark’s Andrew James, part of the team organising the event, said: “Through the course of my work I interact with a number of sources of/ routes to funding for business as well as a number of the business support agencies operating in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly. I am pleased they have agreed to join me at the event which will provide vital information on finding the right funding for businesses.”
Matthew Bourne from the Growth Hub added: “We are acutely aware that it can seem like a minefield or maze of funding options out there to the business owner. This event is a great way of disseminating information to assist in the navigation of the maze but also to show that there is assistance out there.
“Grant funding will be covered through presentations from Cornwall Development Company (CDC) and the Rural Payments Agency who will be stressing that a number of the funds are closing soon.”
