The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) is hosting a special event next month to shed light on the new EU data protection framework.

The new framework has recently been adopted after four years of negotiation – driven by the emergence of new technologies and the frustration of organisations across the EU at the increasing lack of harmonisation across borders, despite data flowing increasingly without boundaries.

But, following Brexit – where will this leave the UK’s data regulations? Should marketers and business managers be preparing for the May 2018 implementation deadline or throwing caution to the wind?

At this CIM insight event on marketing and the law at Hall For Cornwall in Truro on October 11, guest speaker Alexandra Leonidou, senior associate at Foot Anstey LLP, will provide an insight into the new regulations with a focus on marketing disciplines.

The event is open to both CIM members and non-members. For more details and to book a place, click here.
