A series of seminars have been announced for this spring, focusing on inheritance tax and investment planning.
The events will be hosted by Demelza Independent Estate Planning at the Hall For Cornwall (HFC), with the first one taking place on Tuesday, March 8.
Financial planner, Denis Mitchell, who will present the seminars, said: “Everyone in the 2015-2016 tax year has a base-line tax-free inheritance allowance of £325k.
“Despite the rise in property prices, this allowance has remained the same since 2010-11 – so in effect your estate is probably increasing its liability year-on-year.
“My seminar will help people work out the value of their estate that will be subject to Inheritance Tax. I will also explain a number of ways you can reduce that burden and leave more to your loved ones.”
