St Austell Business Park has reported a third year of growth for its conference centre.

The St Austell Conference Centre, which sits at the top of the town in Carclaze, saw a 24% rise in delegates and a 14% increase in the number of events.

The year ahead looks to be no different, with January turnover doubling in comparison to last year, making it its most successful month to date.

Conference centre manager, Beth Mayman, said: “In the last 12 months we invested heavily in brand new AV and video conferencing equipment.

“And we have really focussed on extending and tailoring our offering to meet our clients’ requirements.

“Bookings continue to come in thick and fast, proving it’s a service people want and need. That feeling of exclusivity is what makes our facility, but we’re not expensive, our prices are competitive.”

In 2015, 6,163 delegates passed through the conference centre doors, attending 307 events, consuming 18,000 biscuits and 24,000 cups of tea!
