A Cornwall-based firm of pharmaceutical experts has continued its commitment to budding Cornish entrepreneurs by supporting the Young Enterprise Cornwall Innovation awards.

It is the fifth year running that TRAC Services, which is based at the Pool Innovation Centre, has supported the scheme.

The award ceremony took place at the Atlantic Hotel, Newquay, where the company sponsored the Corporate Responsibility Award.

Sarah Trethowan, TRAC Services’ director, said: “We think the work Young Enterprise does to support the employability of the next generation in Cornwall is vitally important.

“We’re proud to support this work, and it’s great to see so many aspiring entrepreneurs making a real impact.

“Some of the success generated by these young people over the years has been phenomenal.

“Corporate social responsibility is embedded in our business and is key to our success. To see young business people take those values on board while creating a successful business is heartening.”

The Corporate Responsibility Award was won by Silvah Upcycle from Truro High School.  The team produced a range of handmade products made from wine corks and jam jars.
