Putting the ‘Royal’ in to this year’s Royal Cornwall Show will be HRH Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy GCVO KG, who will attend the show on the second day, Friday June 5.

No stranger to the show, this will be the sixth visit Her Royal Highness has made to Cornwall’s largest event. Her first was in 1960 which was also the first year the show was held at the permanent showground at Wadebridge after being an itinerant event since 1793.

Learning of this year’s Royal visitor, RCAA secretary, Chris Riddle, said: “Her Royal Highness has long been a great supporter of the show and we look forward to offering her a very warm Cornish welcome, yet again, in 2015.”

This year’s show, which runs from June 4-6, promises to be another feast of farming, entertainment and the finest Cornish food and drink. Well over 100,000 people are expected to attend during the three-day event.
