The show will take place at the Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge, on March 19 next year.

The organisers took a gamble by moving the event to a new, bigger venue. And the change has paid off, with more than 70 businesses already committing to taking part.

Andrew Weaver, the show’s MD, said: “The business community in Cornwall has really taken to the idea of us moving the event to the county showground. We have almost sold out.

“Ninety percent of the stands have gone and we’ve just a handful left – more than five months before the event.

“It’s a fantastic endorsement of our previous shows and I believe a sign that the Cornish economy is in good shape.”

The show has welcomed two sponsors on board this year, Truro and Penwith College and Cornish IT network specialists, Microcomms.

College business manager, Tamsyn Harris, said: “Truro and Penwith College is delighted to be part of the Cornwall Business Show.  The college has developed relationships of trust with its clients, working in partnership to deliver value to local businesses through developing their staff and their skills.”

Simon Murley, MD of Microcomms, added: “Being associated with the Cornwall Business Show is a great opportunity to display our sense of pride for our company and community, whilst engaging with other innovative businesses in the area.”
