‘Coffee and Croissants with Kim’ will be an informal event, hosted by Kim Conchie, bringing together Cornish businesses along with SMEs and social enterprises being supported through The Engine Room – an ERDF Convergence funded business support programme for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Starting at 11am on Thursday (June 5) the event will be held in the Social Enterprise Zone area of the ‘Green Cornwall Show’ on Stand 91.

Joining Conchie will be the CIC Regulator Sara Burgess, an expert in Community Interest Companies, for a lively discussion around “Where Commerce and Community Connect” exploring social enterprise as a business model and how it can bring real benefits to mainstream businesses.

The two will also participate in a Q&A session, taking questions on a range of issues including how to improve employment opportunities for young people and retain talent in Cornwall.

Jon Rolls, on behalf of the Social Enterprise Zone, said: “We’re delighted to have Kim and Sara with us this year for our inaugural Royal Cornwall Show. The vast majority of Cornish businesses are inherently community minded and we think that’s a great starting point for an exciting discussion about how Cornwall’s economy can grow more sustainably than anywhere else.”
