Companies and organisations interested in becoming a healthier workplace are invited to the fourth annual Healthy Workplace Awards at the Royal Cornwall Showground in Wadebridge next month.
Hosted by Cornwall Council’s Health Promotion Service, companies participating in the programme are awarded a Gold, Silver or Bronze award level, depending on their performance against the Healthy Workplace Award criteria provided by the Health Promotion Service.
Felicity Owen, director of public health, said: “‘Local businesses are being offered the opportunity to attend, alongside the award winners themselves, as this will be a great networking opportunity for them, to find out more about the Healthy Workplace Scheme.
“Actually speaking to award winners will really help them to understand that a healthier workforce is a great asset to their business, and can save them money.”
The event, on April 4, opens at 9am, with workshops, presentations and networking opportunities. The event closes with a healthy lunch, ending at 1pm.
