Small business owners in west Cornwall are being invited to a free seminar in Penzance next week to find out how putting the right foundations in place for their business as early as possible will stand them in good stead for later success.

The hour-long seminar (1pm-2pm) takes place at Penzance workspace facility The Workbox, on Friday, September 13, and will be delivered by Truro-based business growth accountant Gain.

With the number of start ups in Britain looking set to reach an all-time high (with an estimated 500,000 launching in 2013 according to Start Up Britain), entrepreneurial spirit is booming and is very much alive and kicking in Cornwall.

According to Gain director Ian Jefferies, who will be delivering the seminar, for people in Cornwall starting, running and growing their own business, the need to put the right foundations in place are essential if they are going reap the rewards of all the hard work they will put in.

He said: “Running a small business is hard work but can be extremely rewarding both personally and professionally. Whilst many small business owners are brilliant at what they do – the reality is that running a successful business is about much more than being good at the job – whatever it is you do and sell.

“So the seminar aims to provide some key points, advice and information that small business owners really do need to consider as early as possible which will help avoid common problems and barriers to growth from the outset.”

Anyone wanting to attend the seminar is asked to register via email or call to book on 01736 333333.
