The Environment and Sustainability Institute (ESI) is engaging with businesses and enterprises in Cornwall to foster competitiveness and resilience.

The next ESI event is on June 28

Cornwall has become a place which recognises that innovation, research and development must reflect the needs of a dynamic local economy.

And the ESI is holding a series of regional events to enable businesses across the county to explore how they might benefit from closer links with the ESI.

The ESI is a cutting-edge interdisciplinary research centre that is working with businesses to overcome the challenges affecting competitiveness in the face of environmental change.

The institute plans to translate research and expertise into innovative business practices; products and services to build a dynamic, low-carbon economy for the region.

Businesses are therefore encouraged to access new and existing knowledge in clean technology, natural environment and social science and sustainability. In each area, leading academics are now working alongside a team of specialist knowledge exchange managers and researchers.

The next free regional introductory event will be held on June 28 at Trethorne Golf Club, Launceston, Cornwall PL15 8QE, 10am to 4pm (refreshments and lunch provided).

To book a place, email Colette Defoe as soon as possible or tel: 01326 255818.
