Businesses in Cornwall are again being urged to head to the beach this September for a conference which focuses entirely on Agile – a software development approach to project management.

Speakers from last year's event

Agile is a new tool designed to alleviate issues surrounding traditional software development and deployment, to help make businesses more effective.

After the success of the inaugural Agile on The Beach 2011, organisers are looking forward this year’s event.

Toby Parkins, director of UKNetweb and Headforwards, explained: “We’re excited at the fantastic range of speakers who’ve signed up – they are some of the greatest minds in the software development field of Agile.

“At our second annual Agile on the Beach conference in September, businesses across the county have the opportunity to discover the latest thinking from technology companies and Agile professionals which they can apply to their own organisations to achieve business agility.”

The line-up of speakers includes keynotes: Mike Feathers, Groupon and author of Legacy Code; Jeff Brantley of Enthiosys who helps clients achieve business agility; and Eben Upton, co-founder of the innovative Raspberry Pi Foundation.

The conference will be held at Tremough Campus, Penryn from September 6-7. For more information or to book a place, click here.
