More than 100 businesses from across Cornwall are planning to attend the fourth annual Finance in Cornwall event during Cornwall Business Week (May 14-18), and some places are still available.
Organised by regional accountancy firm Francis Clark with Winter Rule, the free event brings together all the main funding providers to explain what they can offer growth-minded businesses.
Finance in Cornwall will take place from 8.30am-2pm at the Lighthouse Cinema in Newquay, on Tuesday, May 15.
Scott Bentley, corporate partner at Francis Clark with Winter Rule in Truro said: “We find that our clients are increasingly confused by the mass of acronyms out there associated with potential sources of finance: from BIG and BFG through to GBI and SWLF.
“That’s why we have invited representatives from each of the funds we feel are most relevant to the local market to come and present for five minutes, so local business owners and managers can get a feel for whether a fund is right for them.”
Representatives from Government and Convergence-funded initiatives will be joined by private sector funders such as Crowd Cube, which has sought to complement business angel networks by offering an online model for raising equity finance.
