Twestival tickets going fast

Tickets are selling fast for the forthcoming Cornwall Twestival event taking place on March 24.

Cornwall Twestival is the Cornish leg of a global phenomenon which started on the micro-blogging platform Twitter in 2009.

It aims to connect people offline at the same time as raising money for worthy, local causes. Hundreds of Twestival Local events are being held at locations across the globe throughout the day and night.

All money raised from the Cornish event, which actually kicks off the night before (11pm, March 23) with a pyjama party at Starbucks at Chiverton Cross, will be donated to the Cornwall Community Foundation.

Other Twestival events taking place include social media workshops at the Pool Innovation Centre, and the very first Treasure Twest, developed by Treasure Trails, which will take in some of the key landmark sights in Truro.

The final event of the day will start at 7.30pm at the Beach Hut at Watergate Bay, featuring Cornish cuisine, live music and a special charity auction.

The Cornwall Development Company and UK Trade and Investment are seeking professional services companies to make up a preferred suppliers list for investor services.
