Becky Sheaves, food editor at the Western Morning News will start the event, giving an insight into what makes a great story for the regional press and what not to do if you want your story in print. Andy Lynes, editor of The Metro’s Good Taste Food and Drink pages, will then discuss pitching to national food and drink press and the role social media and blogging is playing in food and drink writing.

The event is being hosted by the CIPR West of England and has been organised by the CIPR’s Devon and Cornwall Regional Co-ordinator Shelley Fletcher, owner of Firegrass Communications.

Places at the event, which are strictly limited, cost £25 + VAT for CIPR and CIM members and £32.50 + VAT for non members. To book your place, email: liz@elizabethsnell.co.uk
