The Cornish Pirates will be holding their first-ever St Piran’s Festival, in partnership with Coastline Housing on Sunday March 8 at the Camborne Recreation Ground.

The event will see the Cornish Pirates match against Bedford Blues become part of a Festival that will celebrate all that is good about Cornwall.

Cornish Pirates will be taking over Camborne Park, which will host a Cornish Fayre with activities and entertainment for the whole family.

As well as creating a massive crowd for the National League One game, the Cornish Pirates are hoping the St Piran’s Festival will become a very successful annual event.

Pirates’ marketing manager Rob McEvoy said: “As Cornwall’s premier rugby club, we want the people of Cornwall to as proud of the club as they are of Cornwall. The event we have put together will be a fantastic family day out, and we know the families of Cornwall love a good fun family day out, topped off with some exciting rugby.”

Lucy Cox, neighbourhood and involvement manager for Coastline Housing, said: “Coastline Housing are delighted to be supporting the St Piran’s Festival, as we think it will be a fantastic day, and just what our residents will really enjoy. By sponsoring the event, we have a number of free tickets for our residents, and we know that they will grasp the opportunity to have a fantastic family day out.”

In addition, Coastline Housing have 1,000 tickets for local residents, who will hopefully come along and experience the great family day out.

If you would like to attend the Festival, family tickets, starting at £15, are available WC Rowe stores and the Pirates website. Gates open 11am.
