For the second year running, the SMART Women Project are holding their pioneering conference, where an astonishing programme, featuring the South West’s finest experts in the fields of women’s enterprise, will meet at Tremough, June 23, for this inspiring one day event.
The SMART Women Conference is the largest of its kind in the county, bringing together over 200 women to network, learn, grow and have fun. Delegates can enjoy opportunities for networking, sharing ideas and meeting exhibitors, who can provide the essentials for being a huge success.
The Keynote Speaker this year is Dr Glenda Stone, previous European Businesswoman of the Year, founder and CEO of the 30,000 strong Aurora Businesswomen’s Network and Co-chair of the Government’s Women’s Enterprise Taskforce. Glenda has won numerous business awards and is regularly cited in the media regarding her views on women and work related issues. A straight-talking Australian, she says her top priority at the Conference is to convince more women to be ambitious, take risks and expand their businesses.
The event brings together over thirty unique and engaging seminar speakers, sharing their experience and offering practical advice. Hear from national organisations such as the Chartered Management Institute, The Leadership Studies Centre at the University of Exeter and The Suzy Lamplugh Trust, as well as local businesses Seasalt, Worldwide Financial Planning and Jump Media. In addition, Carleen Kelemen, Director of Objective One will discuss Convergence funding and its opportunities for the women of Cornwall.
