Redruth-based animation studio, Engine House VFX, has recently completed a project for a major international conference in Hong Kong.

Engine House partnered with Hogarth & Ogilvy, Ogilvy (Hong Kong) to create three videos for Japanese tech giant, Huawei, to exhibit at the Roads to 2020 Global Mobile Broadband (MBB) Forum.

The creative team at Engine House was tasked with creating three 30-second videos, each telling the story of a new digital innovation – 4.5G Virtual Reality, Pizza-Delivering Drones and Driverless Cars.

Engine House director, Mike Richter, said: “We always love getting stuck in to the design stage, and with such a quick turnaround for this project we really got to unleash our creativity.

“We went with what we wanted, and it was great that Ogilvy could trust us to knock it out the park the first time around.”

Fellow director, Jason Robbins, added: “Working with an agency in Hong Kong is perfect for us in the UK, work can be submitted at the end of the day and feedback is ready first thing in the morning, with the superfast broadband connection we have here in Cornwall we lose no time in transferring files and communicating globally which puts us on a level playing field with any other animation studio in the world and successfully win projects like this.”

The MBB conference runs from now until the end of the week (Nov 5).
