A Cornish business is revolutionising the way people discover and find out about movies and TV shows.

Originally created a year ago as StreamTV, the venture has been relaunched as wowii.co.uk and enables entertainment lovers across the UK to learn more about movies and TV shows, including where they’re available to legally watch, how they’re rated and what’s been said about them by the critics.

Initially funded by Falmouth University’s inFuse scheme, the business was founded by Robert Heath, Ashley Hampson and Paul Allen and developed by Truro-based digital agency The Digital Collaborative.

Hampson explained: “As big fans of movies and TV shows, and subscribers to all the regular providers, we were tired of having to dive around the internet to find and learn about the things we wanted to watch, or might be interested in watching.

“The premise for wowii.co.uk is to provide a simple, trustworthy and fun to use site that makes this much easier. It’s totally free to use and always will be.”

wowii.co.uk searches all the leading providers including iTunes, Amazon, Netflix, NowTV, BBC iPlayer, Channel 5 OnDemand, All 4 and ITV Player, and a search facility lets users discover titles they may never have thought of watching.
