A Truro-based company has raised £100k in pre-seed funding from an unnamed private investor for its parenting smart phone app.

Kiddyup has developed a smart phone app for parents that, it claims, is the world’s first location-based service that pulls together “all the useful information a parent can need”.

Co-founder, Charlotte Pickering, said: “We are very excited about the potential for growth this investment has brought us.

“We have great things planned and are glad to be announcing this round at the same time as other big developments for Kiddyup, including collaboration with one of the largest online forums for Mums in the UK and the recent announcement that Kiddyup has been shortlisted for a Loved by Parents Award 2014, in the Best Family Apps category.”
