Parents at a Falmouth primary school have been learning about the dangers of internet grooming and cyber-bullying with a Penryn-based IT firm.

NCI Technologies director Andy Trish has been visiting schools and presenting to teachers and parents about how children can stay safe while using the internet.

The first presentation was at St Francis C of E School in Falmouth, which has motivated parents to learn more about the web and how children use it.

Trish said: “It is estimated there are 50,000 predators online at any given time, but this doesn’t mean you have to cut off your internet or sell your computer.

“With the right knowledge you can keep your children safe and secure. This is why these presentations are a vital source of valuable information for parents and guardians.”

As a Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional), Trish is offering free sessions to local schools throughout 2010.
