Cornwall Trade and Investment, in partnership with Cultivator Cornwall, is attending Maison & Objet this week in Paris, alongside fifteen Cornish creatives, artists and makers.

One of the largest interior design shows in Europe, the event exhibits over 3,000 brands and designers – showcasing products from across the home decor, interior design, and lifestyle. The design fair is divided into two sections; Objet and Maison, the Objet section exhibits objects and decorative accessories, while Maison showcases decoration, home, and interior solutions.

The focus for attending is on providing Cornish businesses with the chance to explore a large-scale trade show, identify opportunities for their brands, discover the potential for exporting across Europe, and to meet with potential partners and customers.

Nicola Lloyd, director of Cornwall Trade and Investment, said: “Cornwall’s landscape has inspired centuries of creative innovation. Today, with over 2,000 creative businesses in Cornwall, supporting in excess of 6,000 jobs, the industry is essential to the Cornish economy. We’re delighted to be able to support such a large delegation of makers, designers, and creators, to attend an event as prestigious as Maison & Objet.”

She said: “Trade shows and industry events offer the creative sector an invaluable opportunity to get their products and services in front of key buyers and decision makers, as well as explore new markets.

“Attending Maison & Objet alongside 14 other creative businesses from Cornwall demonstrates the attractiveness of such events, as well as showcasing the strength of the sector.”
