Porthleven-based sustainable packing company, Flexi-Hex, has been awarded B Corp certification.
Flexi-Hex joins a growing number of businesses across Cornwall and the world who are prioritising the environment and society above profit.
This is the only certification that measures a company’s entire impact and meets the highest verified standards of environmental and social performance, transparency, and accountability.
It achieved an overall Impact score of 89.7, bypassing the 80 points needed to qualify and the median score for the average business being 50.9.
Co-Founder and creative director, Sam Boex, said: “‘B Corp for us is about being accountable. This is a huge badge of honour and it’s just the start of the journey. We see this as a guide that will help inform the strategy we have in place which in turn allows us to the make the very best decisions for people, planet and the journey ahead.”
