Local video production company Oatey Media has been enjoying a successful year, winning a number of new contracts across the UK.

Company founder Sam Oatey says the business wins are a sign that the industry in general is bouncing back after the coronavirus lockdown, which prevented any opportunities for on-location shooting.

Oatey believes more companies are now turning to film production to bolster their own national and international marketing campaigns.

“After a really challenging start to 2020, it feels like we are emerging into a really positive time for video and film production,” he said.

“With national and international events and exhibitions still victim to coronavirus, more companies are looking to create branded content to fill the gaps being left in their marketing campaigns.”

One of Oatey Media’s latest projects was to support Falmouth-based Watson Marlow in creating a customer testimonial film highlighting the benefits of its Qdos peristaltic chemical metering pumps.

Translated into eight languages, Watson Marlow used the video as a part of its worldwide marketing campaign:

Mark Tamblyn, industrial sector marketing manager for Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group, said: “Compelling video content is core to the success of our digital marketing strategies. We have worked with Oatey Media on two recent customer video testimonials, to promote the effectiveness of the solutions we deliver to our customers.”
