Cornish butcher James Kittow has unveiled a new name and brand, marking a new chapter for the Kilhallon-based Kittows Butchers.
Now called simply James Kittow, the rebrand was launched at last week’s Royal Cornwall Show.
Explaining the reasons behind the change, Kittow said: “It’s important that our brand represents our 130-year heritage and our reputation for outstanding butchery, traditional service, and of course, our award-winning sausages and hogs pudding.”
Kittow worked with Falmouth-based branding and graphic design studio, Sames + Littlejohns, to create the new brand.
Owner David Sames said: “We wanted to create an authentic brand that celebrates the care and commitment that James puts into raising his herd.
“We took inspiration from an old granite sign and commissioned a custom illustration of one of James’ prize Red Ruby bulls to give a heritage feel and bring bags of personality to the brand.”
James Kittow supplies meats and fine foods to restaurants, retailers and families across the UK. It also provides a bespoke butchery service for other farmers and smallholders.
