Camellia Interiors in Newquay is calling on followers of Cornish design to ‘Vote For Us!’ in the International Design and Architecture Awards 2015.

Voting for the awards, which celebrate the best in interior design and architecture, opened on August 25, with the winners being chosen by the public.

Camellia, an architectural design practice specialising in coastal projects, has been shortlisted for several awards, reflecting its growing reputation nationally and internationally.

One major project recently completed is a waterfront home in Looe, which has been shortlisted for four of the International Design & Architecture Awards – ‘Bedroom’, ‘Kitchen over £25,000, ‘Residential Development, £1 – £2.5 million’ and finally for its architectural excellence in the ‘Beach House’ category.

Another property occupying a stunning position on the Cornish coast in Mawgan Porth has been shortlisted in the ‘Home Cinema’ and ‘Living Space UK’ (pictured) categories. Camellia transformed a confined layout and half-built extension into a series of light and airy spaces infused with contemporary coastal style.

Elaine Skinner, design director at Camellia, said: “This recognition is a fantastic reward for the hard-working team here at Camellia, and also for the other businesses in Cornwall we work with to deliver great results for our clients.”
