Laura Hicks, 28, who is an account director at Wild Card’s Truro office, has made the ‘30 under 30’ feature in the latest edition of PR Week, the industry’s leading publication.

The 30 under 30 article is PR Week’s annual feature which reveals the best 30 PR professionals who are under the age of 30. A judging panel, made up of senior PR specialists, selected the top 30 from almost 200 entries.

Since joining Wild Card in 2009, Hicks has worked with a number of leading Cornish brands and businesses including Davidstow cheddar, Tresco Estate, the Eden Project, Rodda’s Cornish Clotted Cream and Falmouth Harbour Commissioners.

Commenting on the feature, Kate Wild, managing director and founder of Wild Card, commented: “Laura has proved herself a highly capable and effective practitioner, quickly establishing herself as a key member of the Wild Card ‘Wild West’ office.

“The whole team at Wild Card are of course thrilled for her and as the feature has a strong London focus I am delighted that she is flying the PR flag for the south west.”

As well as the PR Week feature, Laura Hicks has also been shortlisted for the Outstanding Young Communicator of the Year award by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in the annual South West PRide Awards. The winners will be announced on November 22 at a ceremony in Bristol.

Wild Card is a consumer brand agency with offices in both London and Truro.
