Just days after new recruit Kate Ardron joined the St Wenn-based firm, the agency won the pitch for the PR and marketing of the 2012 Cornwall Food & Drink Festival.

Specialising in food and drink, tourism and events, the agency is looking forward to working on the festival which takes place from September 28-30 and celebrates Cornwall’s best food and drink producers.

Managing partner Jim Michell said: “Kate’s arrival has strengthened our team’s food and drink credentials and she has helped us get off to a great start with a successful pitch win to work on the Cornwall Food & Drink Festival.

“We are really looking forward to working on the event; Cornwall’s food scene is absolutely buzzing at the moment and what’s most encouraging to see is that the quality of the produce and the skills in the local community are defining what makes us different.”

The team’s newest recruit, Kate Ardron, has joined Barefoot Media from her previous role as PA to the executive team at The Seafood Restaurant, bringing her expertise in food and drink and events.
