One of the UK’s leading marketing experts is to teach a five-day course in writing for business at University College Falmouth next month.
Until last year, Sarah McCartney was head of brand publications at Lush, where she helped propel the natural cosmetics company to worldwide recognition. Since then, she’s written and run training courses for many other leading brands, including Aviva, Skype and Cadbury.
She commented: “Whether it’s an advert, a newsletter or a presentation, writing for business is about getting the reader to pay attention from start to finish, then do something at the end.
“The sort of skills we’ll be practising should be just as useful for people running their own businesses as for people who’d like to work as professional copywriters.”
