Cornish comedy rappers Hedluv and Passman partner with community market the Buttermarket to give Redruth a shot at Christmas number one.
The Buttermarket has launched a charity Christmas single raising funds for a local Cornish homelessness charity, St Petrocs.
All proceeds from the sale of the single, as well as additional fundraising efforts from the Buttermarket over the festive period, will go to St Petrocs and their valuable work to end homelessness in Cornwall.
Jonathan Bray, General Manager at the Buttermarket, commented “The entire Buttermarket project is about rejuvenating Redruth and putting the town back on the map, all whilst having fun and expressing our Cornish personality along the way, so a Christmas single felt a natural fit to reach as many people as possible and spread some festive cheer!”
The Buttermarket, the result of a £4 million restoration project delivered by Community Interest Company Redruth Revival and funding from the National Lottery and Architectural Heritage Fund, is a collection of four permanent and two pop-up kitchens. The market provides the town with a lively courtyard and event space, and local independent catering ventures with an opportunity to reach new customers.
Louise Reid, Engagement Manager for St Petrocs, added “We were thrilled to hear that we had been chosen as the recipients of the Buttermarket’s fundraising efforts.”
The Buttermarket’s Christmas single – Redruth Christmas – is available now, and can be downloaded via the Bandcamp link
