Camel Creek Family Theme Park near Wadebridge is on the hunt for a new Charity of the Year 2023 and is looking for superstar good causes to be nominated.

The partnership will see the charity become the focus of the family attraction’s fundraising activities and offers the chance to build a relationship throughout the year.

General manager, Keith Thompson, said: “We know how tough times are at the moment, especially for charities who have seen a squeeze in donations while costs escalate. Through our Charity of the Year initiative which has now been running for over five years, we want to do our bit to help. This is about giving them a boost in awareness, raising vital funds and of course, having some fun along the way.

“Naturally we’d fit best with a charity or good cause which supports families and children but we’re open to suggestions. We’re passionate about being part of the local community so the only stipulation is that the charity should be based in Cornwall. We would love to hear suggestions and get everyone involved in choosing our Charity of the Year.”

For the past year, Camel Creek has supported Cornwall Accessible Activities Program which helps families of children with additional needs to access activities during school holidays. Almost £1k was raised for them through fundraising activities and significantly for the charity, the partnership gave 170 young people involved in the programme the chance to enjoy the Park.
