Cornish Lithium has launched a community fund to support the work of groups who seek to make a positive difference in the Gwennap, Chacewater, St Day, Carharrack and China Clay areas.

In particular, the Cornish Lithium Community Fund is encouraging applications from groups in those regions that will enhance skills and education, upgrade social welfare facilities, support industrial heritage and mining history, improve environmental impacts or promote health and wellbeing.

“Building and maintaining strong relationships with our local communities is really important to us, and this fund is an opportunity for us to support community-led initiatives around our project areas,” explained Cornish Lithium’s sustainability manager, Lucy Crane.

“We are proud to have established the Cornish Lithium Community Fund, which will award grants of between £250 and £2.5k and look forward to assessing applications from groups that strive to make a lasting positive impact on their communities.”
