Renowned Cornish potter and artist Paul Jackson has generously designed the limited edition jute shopping bag for the 2021 Cornwall Christmas Fair.

This popular event which traditionally kicks off the Cornish festive season is taking place at the Eden Project on Thursday, November 11, with a preview and shopping evening the day before.

Sponsored by Lillicrap Chilcott, the bag will be exclusively available at the fair in return for a £5 donation to the Cornwall Community Foundation.

“We are so pleased to see the Cornwall Christmas Fair return after a year’s absence and are delighted with Paul’s stunning design for our bag,” said Ian Lillicrap of long-term supporter Lillicrap Chilcott.

“Paul has been involved with the Fair since it was first held in the home of the founder, Lady Mary Holborow, back in 1991.  We are so grateful both for his support over the years and for designing our 2021 limited edition bag. It is a very appropriate celebratory marker of this particularly special event as we start to move out of the pandemic.”

Jackson added: “Cornwall Community Foundation has provided such vital support across Cornwall over the course of the pandemic and funds will be in even more demand as our communities rebuild.  I am so pleased to be supporting such a deserving cause.”

Tickets will only be available for purchase in advance; there will be no sales on the door.
