An estate agent is celebrating its 50th birthday with an auction of Cornish art in aid of local charities.

John Bray & Partners is organising a charity art auction jointly in aid of the Cornwall Community Foundation (CCF) and the Wadebridge Foodbank.

With the support of north Cornwall artists, photographers and illustrators, the auction will raise much needed funds for these two local charities.

Twenty-six works of art, all portraying aspects of north Cornwall scenery and life, have been donated by 24 artists with reserve prices ranging from £75 to £750.

Interested buyers can register in advance online and get a preview today (July 29). The auction goes live to the wider community on July 31 and ends on August 18.

CCF chair Jane Hartley said: “This continues to be an incredibly challenging time for many people. We are moved by the generosity of people who want to support Cornish communities who donate so we can help amazing local charities like Wadebridge Foodbank.

“Sadly, the need for our support continues to grow and we are very grateful to John Bray & Partners and the artists who are making this auction possible. Please bid enthusiastically, every pound raised is needed.”
