Cornwall Care has appointed a new chairperson.
An experienced strategic healthcare leader, Sally Taylor was chief executive of St Luke’s Hospice in Plymouth for nearly 22 years and is the current vice chair of Torbay and South Devon NHS Trust.
A qualified chartered accountant, Taylor’s list of achievements include establishing new services, leading successful bids, increasing fundraising income and winning national recognition for an integrated specialist palliative care service at St Luke’s. She and her team have also set up a social enterprise to deliver domiciliary care and launched a new crisis team.
CEO Anne Thomas remarked: “We’re absolutely delighted that Sally is now working with our Cornwall Care team. 2021 is our 25th Anniversary and we have an ambitious growth plan. Sally has a huge amount of experience which will undoubtedly prove invaluable.”
Taylor took up her new appointment at the beginning of the month – replacing Philip Rees who resigned at the end of 2020. He remains chair of the Cornwall Care Services Limited (CCSL) board which oversees the operational side of service delivery.
