Lillicrap Chilcott Estate Agents has donated £10k to the Cornwall Community Foundation’s Community Fund and committed to donate the same amount every year.

Director Ian Lillicrap said: “We are delighted to support the Cornwall Community Foundation and to give something back to the community in this way.

“The foundation awards grants to vital community projects that we would not know about otherwise and it is good to know that our donation will reach those who really need it.”

Groups such as The Hive, a charity that collects surplus food and processes it to feed the needy, have been able to benefit from CCF funding. With the funding from CCF, The Hive was able to provide a vital service to those in the Truro area and beyond during the mentally challenging and isolating time throughout 2020.

Lillicrap recently presented Jane Hartley, chair of the foundation, and Kate Holborow, High Sheriff of Cornwall, with the cheque for its donation.

Hartley said: “Thank you very much to you and your team at Lillicrap Chilcott, we look forward to a great relationship for the future. Our Community Fund benefits a wide range of projects supporting those most in need across the county and this annual donation will make a real difference to the Fund’s grant making.”
