A new community interest company (CIC) is set to launch this weekend.
Via Ferrata Cornwall is bringing the “ultimate high challenge adventure activity” to Cornwall, helping participants to conquer their fears, have fun and do something unique.
It is being launched by local charity and outdoor activity centre BF Adventure and will share its 60-acre site near Penryn.
Offering the first full Via Ferrata experience in the south of England, the activity will open publicly on July 26, with discounts for NHS staff.
Originating in the Alps during World War I to enable troops to cross mountains, a Via Ferrata is said to be “a climbing route like no other”, featuring metal steps, ladders, suspension bridges and zip wires.
