Cornwall’s oldest charity has named a new chief executive.

Carole Theobald has been appointed as chief executive for iSightCornwall.

Theobald has been with the charity for four years, joining in 2016 as operations manager before becoming deputy chief executive in 2017. During that time, she has played a pivotal role in raising the profile of iSightCornwall and widening access to the charity’s services for blind and partially sighted people in Cornwall.

Mel Colton-Dyer, chair of the board of trustees said: “We are delighted to announce Carole’s appointment. With her ideas, enthusiasm and vision for the charity we are excited for the future and the support we can offer those with visual impairments in Cornwall.”

iSIghtCornwall is a local, independent charity which has been supporting people with sight loss to lead active and independent lives since 1856.
