Classic Cottages is hosting another of its Big Breakfast fundraising events this month.
Held in the farmhouse kitchen at its head office in Helston, the event will raise much-needed funds for the Cornwall branch of Dementia UK.
The charity, which raises money to pay for Admiral Nurses in Cornwall, helps families and carers to deal with this debilitating condition.
“Dementia UK Cornwall is a charity close to our hearts,” said Classic Cottages booking office assistant and event organiser, Liz Webb.
“Admiral nurses are to dementia what McMillan nurses are to cancer. Families benefit from the support that Admiral Nurses can give, and the charity is now well on the way to funding a third nurse here in Cornwall, we want to help make that a reality.”
Simon Tregoning, chairman of the Classic Cottages Group, added: “We hold regular fundraisers and love getting involved with community events like beach cleans or footpath maintenance projects – it’s important to us to play an active and positive role in life in Cornwall.”
