A group of female independent financial advisers from Truro are finalising plans for their second annual fundraising ball.
The Women of Worldwide (WoW) team was set up by Worldwide Financial Planning’s Donna Hansen, Rebecca Bendle and Lynne Williams.
Launched in April 2012 the team is hosting a series of events to raise money for Cornwall Hospice Care (CHC).
The group’s next event, the ‘Dress to Impress’ Sunshine Ball, is taking place at Merchants Manor in Falmouth on Friday, July 4.
WoW’s first Sunshine Ball in 2013 raised £4,200 for Cornwall Hospice Care, a figure the organisers are hoping to surpass this year.
Donna Hansen, whose late mother was looked after by CHC at St Julia’s Hospice in Hayle, said: “Last year’s Sunshine Ball was a massive success and raised over £4k for Cornwall Hospice Care.
“We’ve had a lot of interest already for this year’s event and tickets are going fast.
“What we really need to help us beat last year’s figure is good quality auction lots that people will want to bid for on the night.
“So we’re looking for donations from the generous community in Cornwall.”
Guests at the evening, which is also supported by Santander Bank, will enjoy a welcome drink, live entertainment from Double Bounce, a three course sit down meal, auction, raffle, champagne prize draw and party games.
