People of all abilities are being urged to get their trainers on and enter the ROC 5K, Cornwall’s brand new 5K fun run.

ROC 5K launch at the One Eyed Cat, Truro.

Officially launched last Thursday, the fun run is in aid of ROC (Robert Owen Communities) a charity that supports people with learning disabilities. All money raised will support the development of ROC Welcome Truro, a social club, and its 40 acre Boscawen Farm, near Blackwater, Truro.

Calvin Lovelock, ROC’s Fundraiser, said; “My thanks go to all our event partners who have enabled us to launch ROC 5K. We are planning for at least 400 people to take their places on the starting line and have a lot of fun while raising funds for this brilliant charity.”

ROC supports more than 500 people with learning disabilities across Devon and Cornwall.

It will start and finish at Truro’s Lemon Quay and will take you past the city’s beautiful riverside and around Boscawen Park.

Registration for the event on Tuesday 10th June is now open at www.roc5K.eventbrite.co.uk, with early bird tickets now available.

Business sponsors are sought. Already on board are Francis Clark Accountants, the Cornish Mutual, Truro and Penwith College, MPAD and Morlaix Chartered Financial Planners.

For more information about business sponsorship please contact ROC’s Fundraiser, Calvin Lovelock, on 07525 411773 or email calvin.lovelock@roc-uk.org.
