Penryn-based Di-Mar Garden Machinery has donated almost £1k worth of equipment to the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust.

It follows an online appeal by the air ambulance for a strimmer and lawn mower to maintain the grounds at its Newquay airbase.

“As well as making the grounds look nice, this does have a more serious purpose,” said facilities coordinator for the charity, Kevin McGall. “It’s also absolutely vital that we keep this a safe site for the helicopter to operate from.

“We didn’t want to spend money on buying all this equipment when those funds are so vital to keep our lifesaving helicopter flying, so we were so pleased to hear from Di-Mar.”
