Seventeen members of staff from the St Austell and Truro offices of one of Cornwall’s leading law firms were looking a little hairier last month, as they took part in Movember.

Four of Stephens Scown’s Movember team. Front row (l-r) – Tim Atkins (partner) and Chris Taylor (paralegal); back row (l-r) – Peter Marshall (partner and head of St Austell office) and Simon Gawler (partner)

They were joined by colleagues from Stephens Scown LLP’s Exeter office in growing moustaches and raising over £2k for charity.

Movember is an annual event with a simple idea: to grow a moustache in November and raise money and awareness of men’s health, specifically prostate and testicular cancers. Last year the event attracted 854,000 participants from around the world and raised £79.3 million. R

obert Camp, Stephens Scown’s managing partner, said: “I am delighted that so many staff across the firm are taking part and supporting this great cause.”

Funds raised by Movember in the UK are directed to programmes run directly by Movember and its partners Prostate Cancer UK and the Institute of Cancer Research.
