Cornwall Chamber of Commerce members have been giving generously to the CPR Foodbank this Christmas.
Chamber members arrived at this morning’s Big Breakfast meeting at the Penventon Hotel in Redruth, laden with bags and boxes of non-perishable items for the food bank.
Chamber president, Toby Parkins, said: “The Foodbank is crucial in helping people and families who on many occasions, through no fault of their own, need a short term gap bridged through when they fall in to a situation where they simply cannot even afford to buy food to eat.
“This often occurs when other agencies fail to provide them with critical support. Giving food directly to the Foodbank is one of the purest forms of charity and kindness, and as a Chamber of Commerce we are pleased to support it.”
